Power Engineers Collaborative, L.L.C. (PEC) is an engineering services firm with experienced and talented personnel providing clients with solutions to their most complex problems. The company specializes in cross discipline engineering projects, providing a single source design and implementation initiative.
It is our responsibility and goal to provide our clients with a custom tailored product that not only satisfies the initial design requirements but also exceeds these expectations.
Our Company
Power Engineers Collaborative, L.L.C. (PEC) is a Midwest engineering firm with a staff of engineering professionals specializing in power generation from both fossil fuel and renewable sources.
PEC is dedicated to providing services to clients in the Power Industry. The company focus began in the Power Industry providing engineering solutions to Utilities and Independent Power Developers for the expansion, modernization, consolidation and creation of new power generation assets.
Our core business includes aiding clients in site selection, environmental permitting, equipment studies, financing, preparation of contract document, bid evaluation, contract award, preparation of detailed construction documents, design of auxiliary facilities, engineering services during construction and training of operating and maintenance personnel.
PEC participates as the Engineer of Record throughout the development and execution phases of projects utilizing natural gas, biomass, waste products, and other renewable sources including both wind and solar.
In 2022, PEC merged with Performance Power Services to enhance the Company’s expertise in electrical/I&C engineering design and analysis for electric generating power plants and large industrial facilities. PPS brings over 20 years of experience in electrical analysis, electrical design, arc flash analysis, electrical equipment specification, third party technical review and protective relaying design.

Zero6 Energy is a Minnesota-based clean energy company focused on the development, financing, construction, ownership and operation of clean energy projects throughout North America. Zero6 Energy pioneered community-based wind energy development by creating several currently accepted financial, operational and legal structures which provide local ownership of medium-to-large scale wind farms. To date, Zero6 Energy has developed 28 wind energy projects (378MW) throughout the Midwest and has several other renewable energy projects in various stages of development or acquisition throughout the U.S.
