The company specializes in cross discipline engineering projects, providing a single source design and implementation initiative.

Our Company

Power Engineers Collaborative, L.L.C. (PEC) is a Midwest engineering firm with office locations in Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a staff of engineering professionals specializing in power generation from both fossil fuel and renewable sources.

PEC is dedicated to providing services to clients in the Power Industry. The company focus began in the Power Industry providing engineering solutions to Utilities and Independent Power Developers for the expansion, modernization, consolidation and creation of new power generation assets.

Our core business includes aiding clients in site selection, environmental permitting, equipment studies, financing, preparation of contract document, bid evaluation, contract award, preparation of detailed construction documents, design of auxiliary facilities, engineering services during construction and training of operating and maintenance personnel.

PEC participates as the Engineer of Record throughout the development and execution phases of projects utilizing natural gas, biomass, waste products, and other renewable sources including both wind and solar.

PEC operates as an independent division of Juhl Energy Inc., an established leader in Community-Based Wind Power development and management, focused on wind farms projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Juhl Energy Inc. is a Minnesota-based clean energy company focused on the development, financing, construction, ownership and operation of clean energy projects throughout North America. Juhl Energy pioneered community-based wind energy development by creating several currently accepted financial, operational and legal structures which provide local ownership of medium-to-large scale wind farms. Anthony Chmielewski, PE

Managing Principal and President

Anthony (Tony) Chmielewski is a Managing Principal and President of PEC with 25 years of experience in the evaluation, design and construction of utility systems for power generating facilities, combined heat and power plants and various industrial systems. His experience includes project development, economic evaluation, project management, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.

Gary Aron, PE

Senior Project Manager

Gary Aron is a Senior Project Manager with 35+ years of experience in multiple fields including power generation, alternative fuels, coal gasification and environmental infrastructure. His primary specialty is in power generation including combustion turbine technology, coal and gas fired boilers, power plant performance and combined heat and power and co-generation plants. His experience includes power plant development, plant design and operations.

Gene Poletto, PE

Managing Principal

Gene Poletto is a Managing Principal of PEC and has over 40 years of power plant analysis, design and operating experience. Gene has performed original plant design as well as major plant upgrades for operating plants. He has held senior leadership positions at design firms as well as at electric utilities. He has managed engineering, construction and project management for fossil fuel power plants, nuclear plants and industrial facilities execution. Retro-fit projects to increase steam generating capacity, add electric generation, and fix/enhance utilities distribution systems.
